Sandy Toes & Eco Goals: Join the Palawan Island Adventures!

I’m David Le, a Vietnamese-American raised in Texas who found my heart on Palawan Island, where I built a sustainable glamping resort with friends from around the world. Through this website, I share my journey of living off-grid, creating a low-footprint retreat, and offering opportunities to join this adventure through investment.

Sandy Toes & Eco Goals: Join the Palawan Island Adventures!

I'm David Le, a Vietnamese American who found my heart in the Philippines through Texas, and this is my story. Picture this: four friends from completely different worlds—two Texans (including me), a Brit, and a Filipino—coming together to build a boutique glamping resort in one of Earth's most breathtaking yet challenging places. Grab a coconut and let me tell you how this wild adventure unfolded!

It all sparked in 2017 when we stumbled upon Lumambong Beach, tucked away south of El Nido. What should have been another travel story turned into this crazy love affair with Palawan that I never saw coming. While everyone else was cramming into El Nido and Coron (beautiful spots, don't get me wrong), I was completely swept away by this untouched part of the island that hardly anyone talked about. One random turn in the road led me to Lumambong Beach, and man, my life hasn't been the same since.

But here's the thing about Palawan—it's so much more than just gorgeous beaches and crystal-clear waters. It's this intricate web of land rights, environmental protection, and community relationships that you have to understand to make anything work here. We each brought something unique to the table. Our Filipino partner? He's been our bridge to everything local, helping us get the culture and build real relationships in the community. Our British friend brings this incredible attention to detail, and my environmental background? It's helped us navigate all these strict ecological guidelines that Palawan (rightfully) has in place.

Building Binga Beach Brothers wasn't just about finding the perfect spot (though that was crucial). I had to dive deep into Palawan's super complex land classification system and wrap my head around all their environmental regulations. I spent countless hours meeting with government agencies, environmental specialists, and local leaders, and honestly? Every conversation taught me something new about this paradise.

What makes our story different is how we approached creating the resort. Instead of coming in with this fixed idea of what we wanted to build, I let the land guide us. Our glamping setup? It came from wanting to touch this incredible ecosystem as lightly as possible while still letting our guests feel deeply connected to nature.

Through this website, I want to share everything—not just the business side, but my personal journey of falling head over heels for Palawan, learning its ways, and building something that honors both its natural beauty and incredible culture. Whether you're thinking about visiting, looking to invest, or just love a good adventure story, I want to share all the experiences, insights, and lessons I've picked up along the way.

I'll tell you about navigating land laws (which are way more fascinating than they sound, I promise), building relationships with local communities, and discovering hidden spots across the island. You'll hear about our wins and our face-plants (oh, there were plenty), as we work to create something sustainable in one of the world's last true ecological frontiers.

This isn't just business for me—it's a passion project that started with four friends dreaming about creating something special while protecting what makes Palawan magical. Through our boutique glamping resort, I'm not just giving people a place to crash; I'm sharing the Palawan that stole my heart: raw, real, and absolutely unforgettable.

So whether you're dreaming up your own island adventure, passionate about sustainable development in paradise, or just curious about how four guys from different corners of the world ended up building a glamping resort in the Philippines, you're in the right place. Welcome to my journey, my home, and my little slice of paradise.

And hey, if you're looking at investment opportunities in Palawan—whether you're a local or coming from abroad—I'd love to connect. Having navigated this journey as a foreigner who's now deeply rooted in the community, I understand the unique challenges and incredible opportunities this paradise offers. For locals, your understanding of the culture and community is invaluable, and I'm always excited to partner with people who share our vision of sustainable development. For my fellow foreigners, I've been in your shoes—I know the questions, concerns, and excitement you're probably feeling about investing in the Philippines.

Throughout my journey here, I've built strong relationships with local government units, environmental agencies, and community leaders. I've learned the ins and outs of land rights, investment structures, and how to navigate the unique regulatory landscape that makes Palawan special. Whether you're interested in joining our existing ventures or looking to create something new, I'm happy to share what I've learned along the way.

Let's grab that coconut I mentioned earlier and talk about building something amazing together in paradise. After all, the best adventures are the ones we share.
